Bowl with ornamental loops

Everyday objects such as bowls made of clay were collected by the architect and designer Lina Bo Bardi in Bahia in the 1950s in order to understand the Afro-Brazilian design language. In recourse to Antonio Gramsci, she has always advocated modern “design from below”.
